I would like to do Student Congress?
I am a student in my highschool, and recently, i was informed of a great program
by NFL (national forensic league) called student congress.
Unfortunately, our school does not have this program.
how can i help start this activity in my school?

I’m glad you’re interested in getting involved in student government. It’s unfortunate that your school doesn’t provide student representation to form a student congress, but something can certainly be done about it.
One of the first things you’ll have to do is get involved in any way you can. My college is currently in the midst of providing a student congress, or a student senate to be specific. This has come about from research of other college and university student government structures. We just simply felt a need for more representation and student involvement on our campus. Talk to your student government president about the idea. From my own personal experience, high school government officials may not be as serious about your request as you may hope, but don’t get discouraged! If the officials that you voted to represent you aren’t listening to you, see how they’re accountable and do something about it.
To get a program like a student congress rolling, it first requires someone to bring it up, and then back it up. Express your feelings to your student representatives or teachers or principal.
